Navarathri
Nav means ‘nine’ in Sanskrit and Ratri means ‘night’. Navratri is a festival of 9 days worshipping goddess(Devi). Devi represents cosmic energy. Each day has a specific significance. Navratri means fighting with the evil which is there within us by doing the prayers, fasting, meditation, chanting mantras, etc. It will remove one’s fear, anger, depression, anxiety, and many more. Meditation brings you joy, bliss, and fulfillment. Navratri is the time to energize all the chakras and increase our consciousness. The purification will happen at a physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual level. We worship nine forms of Devi during these nine days.
Significance
Navratri is celebrated during the month of October. It is the time where the season changes from autumn to winter. This Navratri is called ‘Sharad Navratri’.So, there will be shorter days and longer nights. Due to this, our body’s immune system will be suppressed. To enhance that we do intermittent fasting by taking Sattvik food which is pure and balanced and they digest easily. This helps the body detoxify. It will affect our physical and mental body.
Day 1: Shailaputri: Represents the highest state of consciousness.
Day 2: Brahmacharini: Brahmacharini means one who is present and moves in infinity.
Day 3: Chandraganta: This day signifies withdrawing all the thoughts in the mind by focusing on the divine mother (Devi).
Day 4: Kushmanda: It means that the Mother Divine manifests as the Prana, as the energy within us.
Day 5: Skandamata: Devi brings an abundance of wisdom, wealth, power, prosperity, and liberation.
Day 6: Katyayani: She is the one who puts an end to all our inner enemies that are an obstacle on the path of spiritual evolution.
Day 7: Kalaratri: She is known as one who destroys negative energies.
Day 8:Mahagouri: Devi Mahagauri is that which is beautiful, gives momentum and freedom in life.
Day 9: Siddhidatri: Devi Siddhidatri brings perfection in life. She makes the impossible possible.
